Hi! My name is Tip, I’m the manager here at The Head Spa Sanctuary. I was raised in Concord, North Carolina then I moved to Virginia Beach in my early 20’s to support my husband in his US Navy career and now we are back down to the Charlotte area! I’ve been a licensed esthetician for about a year now. In my adolescence stage I struggled with acne and how to properly take care of my skin. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to research proper care and help. With that research and knowledge, I enrolled myself in the Chrysm Institute of Esthetics in Virginia and became an esthetician! Being at the spa and seeing the day to day needs from clients really makes me love where I work. I have a deep connection to these clients because some of them are coming in for scalp concerns, whereas I also had concerns about my skin. Just like how I reached out to find proper care and help, our clients at the spa are also reaching out for the same goal. Although, it's quite a relaxing treatment as well, so that’s always a bonus! Outside of the spa, I go to a rock climbing gym with my husband about 3 times a week. It's such a fun and non-traditional way of exercising. Lifting weights can be repetitive! I have two little wiener dogs that I adore very much. I also LOVE cars! Anything from the JDM side of things to the luxury European side, I love it all!!

Why The Head Spa Sanctuary (or why

Japanese head spa)?

Japanese Head Spa is something unique that I had never heard of previously to this business. I love to explore different techniques and scopes of the beauty industry.

What do you like to do for fun? 

I love to hike/ go on walks and be in the sun. I also love activities like museums and painting although I haven't done a lot of it lately.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for 3 years now & I couldn’t be happier  

- What are you passionate about in the beauty industry?

I've always loved the beauty industry because it gave me an opportunity to showcase my strength in my communication skills and treating & styling hair. I love that I get to hear many stories, every day is different and I get to know my clients on a personal level and build a relationship in most cases!

- Why The Head Spa Sanctuary (or why Japanese head spa)

After giving many careers in the cosmetology field a go like lashing, make up and working at a hair salon I found that my true passion was hair CARE. I’ve personally never color treated or done anything to damage my hair because I loved healthy, long, silky & strong hair! I always felt out of place until I found The Head Spa. 

Working at the head spa sanctuary has given me the opportunity to not only be in what feels like my OWN space but also offer a relaxing experience while actually receiving a treatment thats beneficial for your scalp and hair! After many head spas I still get so much satisfaction from seeing my before and after’s, clients reactions & the great feedback!

- What do you like to do for fun? 

For fun I like to spend quality time with my family, going out to the lake or spend time painting, drawing or reading!

How long I’ve been in the beauty industry:

I began my journey in the beauty industry in 2017 as a natural hair influencer. In 2023, I obtained my cosmetology license and became a curl specialist.

I am passionate about promoting healthy natural hair and scalp care.

Hi there! My name is Lexis Parks. Feel free to call me by my nickname, Lexy. I am originally from Fayetteville, NC but have been a Charlotte local for over 10 years. Hair and all things beauty have been my passion since I was little, so to be able to say I have been professionally doing hair for the past two years makes me very proud! In my spare time I love to explore my creative side with painting, DIY projects and exploring new beauty trends. I'm incredibly grateful to have been accepted into The Head Spa Sanctuary's family. The opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals, to collaborate with like-minded individuals, and to contribute to the company's noble goals fills me with a palpable sense of purpose. I am so excited to be a part of such an innovative field of practice!

Hi I’m Jordyn Brooks, I was born in Charlotte, NC but raised in Santa Cruz, California. I have been doing hair for 7 years and have a huge passion for hair and scalp health. I believe in using clean and holistic methods to make people feel and look amazing! I truly love what we do here at the head spa sanctuary and the values we uphold. In my free time I love to paint and cook, as well as spend time with my three lovely fur babies. 

I am from Belmont, NC. I have been in the beauty industry for 10+ years and I have always been passionate about making people feel their best selves. I love being at The Head Spa Sanctuary because I get to help guests with all their hair and scalp needs while also helping them better understand their hair and scalp. I also love being able to help our guests relax and unwind. In my free time I’m a wife and a mom who loves to read and CrossFit.

Hi! My name is Hannah, I’m originally from Wilmington, NC and I’ve been in the beauty industry for 3 years. I am passionate about holistic health and beauty, and sharing that passion to help people feel beautiful and confident in themselves. I chose the Head Spa Sanctuary because scalp health can be a hard and difficult journey for a lot of people. The spa offers a safe, educational and relaxing space for those who are struggling. Outside of the spa I am an aerial dancer! I grew up dancing and when my husband and I moved to Charlotte in 2023, we both took an aerial class and quickly fell in love with it. I also enjoy sewing, making jewelry, and binge watching spooky/syfy shows with our two cats! 

I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but I moved here to Charlotte when I was 9 years old. I don’t have any children, but I do have three fur babies that are my absolute world and like my children. When I am not at work, I am usually playing video games, cooking, or snuggling with my dogs. I have been in the beauty industry for 10 years now and have loved every minute of it. I am passionate about this industry because I have always loved the fact that the job I do has an impact on others in such a positive way, and I love to allow people a space to relax and feel good about themselves. I also love the fact that I am always continuing to learn and educate myself on a variety of things in the industry. I am really excited to be working here at The Head Spa Sanctuary because I have been really interested in learning about the art of Japanese head spas and using authentic Japanese techniques to help someone in their day-to-day scalp care.

- I was born and raised in Charlotte, but went to cosmetology school in Fort Wayne IN.

What are you passionate about in the beauty industry?

- I am passionate about skin care, makeup and lived in blondes! 

Why The Head Spa Sanctuary?

- I chose the head spa sanctuary because I liked shampooing and styling while in cosmetology school! And I loved how my boss was so invested into creating a beautiful place for people to feel amazing! And thought what a better place to work! 

What do you do for fun? 

- I love all things art related! I also love to shop and decorate! I have two cats! And a little fun fact about me is, I LOVE to coupon! 

Hi I’m Kirstyn,

I’m a mom to one beautiful daughter and one silly dog. 

I’ve been vegan for almost 12 years now and my favorite restaurant in Charlotte is Mama Wok. 

I nerd out on skincare, mental health, music, gymnastics, interior design and plants. 

I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for 11 years now, but my love for all things health and wellness started long before then!

What I love most about this work is its ability to connect while being creative. I love empowering clients to embrace the individuality and confidence that’s already within. For me, beauty is more than just a look; it’s an experience, a reflection of who you are, and a statement to the world. I was drawn to The Head Spa Sanctuary because it’s a space where beauty and wellness come together. The focus on holistic intentional care, relaxation, and restoring balance is something I’m proud to bring to my clients. I love helping my clients feel renewed both inside and out. When I’m not behind the chair, you can find me exploring creative outlets like music, fashion, writing, finding inspiration in nature, learning something new or sharing great food, experiences, and conversation with people I love.

Hey! I’m Alex. Originally from New Jersey, I embarked on my journey as an esthetician in January 2024 and currently serve as the Lead Esthetician. My passion for skincare stems from a deep appreciation for enhancing natural beauty and boosting confidence in others. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog, exploring the outdoors, and cooking. I also indulge in event planning on the side and have a particular fondness for crafting intricate charcuterie boards. Each of these interests enriches my life and complements my dedication to my profession.
